This Privacy Policy explains how InstAgent (“InstAgent”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you use instagent.site and the InstAgent dashboard (the “Service”). We are based in and primarily serve the United States.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and a hashed (never plain-text) password.
- Billing information: your plan, payment status and transaction references. Card details are collected and processed by Stripe; we never receive or store full card numbers.
- Content you create: topics, brand-voice answers, AI-generated drafts, calendar entries and support messages.
- Instagram data (when connected): if you connect a professional Instagram account through Meta’s official login, we receive an access token and the profile, media and insight data that you authorize. We never ask for or store your Instagram password.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and essential cookies used for security and to keep you logged in.
How we use information
- To provide the Service: generate content, plan posts and (when enabled) publish content and show analytics you request.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To secure accounts (fraud prevention, rate limiting, login protection).
- To send service emails such as verification, password resets and billing notices.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your Instagram data for advertising.
AI processing
When you use AI features, the text you submit (for example a topic or brand-voice description) is sent to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), to generate a response. Do not include sensitive personal information in prompts.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the Service: hosting (Hostinger), payments (Stripe), AI generation (Google Gemini API), Instagram connection (Meta Platforms) and email delivery. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Security
Passwords are hashed, Instagram tokens and API secrets are encrypted at rest, connections use HTTPS, and administrative access is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax and accounting obligations. You can disconnect Instagram at any time, and you can request account deletion by contacting support@instagent.site. When you disconnect Instagram, we delete the stored access token.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — which we do not do. To make a request, email support@instagent.site. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above; material changes will be communicated by email or in the dashboard.
